A Word From The Author

Allison Meldrum has been writing since a very special English teacher with a pocket watch and three-piece suit told her that she might be quite good at it. Previously a newspaper and magazine journalist, Allison has had multiple short stories published and selected as Editor’s Picks by Toasted Cheese and East of The Web . She has also contributed works to two short story anthologies, Tolerance and Autumn, through her involvement in Transcendent Authors, a group of international authors who found common inspiration from these themes.

Allison’s debut novel The Life I Owe Her examines two themes very close to her heart: Parenthood and Friendship. Early readers have praised the book for its arresting premise, utterly compelling tension and wonderful voice.
